Problem Statement

Managing product listings across multiple marketplaces is time-consuming and inefficient. Merchants deal with:
  • Different category structures per channel
  • Manual mapping and repetitive tasks
  • Platform-specific quirks that slow setup
  • Difficult coordination across teams and tools
  • Rising complexity as catalogs and markets grow

The result? Delays in going live, wasted effort, and increased risk of errors.

That’s why we’ve rolled out a series of updates to speed up your listing process, cut down on manual work, and make it easier to manage across teams. These improvements give you clearer oversight, handy tools, and a smoother experience when working with your product data.

Let’s explore what’s new and how it helps.

Smarter, faster product categorization

Managing product categories across marketplaces can quickly become complex, especially when you’re expanding into new countries, switching platforms, or managing large catalogs.

We’ve introduced a set of improvements to help you:
✅ Categorize products faster, even across countries and languages
✅ Save time by importing or reusing existing category mappings
✅ Keep your listings accurate and marketplace-compliant, with less manual work

💡 Optimizing beyond the basics?

Make sure you’ve also explored how to determine and set up your min price - Part 1 of this series, where we cover AI-powered strategies to protect your margins and prevent undercutting across marketplaces.

AI-powered category mapping

Our AI Category Mapping feature helps you automatically match your products to the right categories using AI-generated suggestions. Whether you’re launching new products or expanding into another channel, you’ll receive three prioritized recommendations based on relevance, allowing you to go live faster and with confidence.

Perfect for large catalogs and multi-marketplace setups, it’s like having a smart assistant that already knows where your products belong.

Copy categories across countries

Expanding to new countries on the same marketplace? You no longer need to start from scratch when the category tree or language differs.

Our new Copy Categorization feature lets you transfer category mappings from one country to another. It started with Bol and Amazon, and now supports marketplaces like eBay, Metro, Kaufland, Shopee, Lazada, and Veepee.

How it works:
  • Name-based matching: If the category names align, we copy them 1:1
  • AI fallback: When names don’t match, our AI recommends the closest category using vector similarity

💡 Example:
Copying from Amazon.de to Amazon.fr? The AI finds the most relevant French category, so you don't have to guess.

Import categories via CSV

Working in Excel or migrating channels from another platform? You can now upload your known category mappings in bulk with a simple CSV import.

This means:
✅ No need to re-enter categories manually
✅ Staying in full control of your mappings
✅ Save time and reduce errors, especially with large catalogs

After importing, you can still use AI suggestions to fine-tune your setup. Just make sure your file follows the correct format, and you’re good to go.

A cleaner interface for better control

We’ve also improved the categorization page itself to make your workflow more efficient:
  • See exactly how many products are uncategorized for each marketplace
  • Search by full category trail to quickly reuse or locate existing mappings

New list views and filters for easier mapping

Navigating product mappings with a large catalog can quickly become overwhelming. We’ve redesigned the offer and content mapping screens to make them faster, clearer, and easier to work with.

What’s improved:
  • Product search bar (no pagination)
  • Unified dropdown for all attributes
  • Smarter filters for quicker navigation
  • Prefilled fields for faster edits
  • Clear message when a product isn’t found

You can also filter by attributes like name, GTIN, Merchant product number, or status. Need to find unmapped products or those with missing values? Just use the “empty fields” filter and you’re set.

Preview a product’s content mapping directly in the list view, then update on the spot. No more digging or second-guessing — just quicker mapping and fixing.

Export everything: selections, content, offers

Verifying product mappings or selections used to mean digging through different tabs and menus. That’s slow, error-prone, and not ideal for teamwork.

Now, you can export CSVs at multiple stages of the listing process, making it easy to share, audit, and troubleshoot outside the platform.

What you can export:
  • Product selections
  • Categorization data (with product IDs and final categories)
  • Content mappings (per product or per category)
  • Offer mappings (including GTIN, MPN, price, stock, and more)

You’ll get the export by email, so you don’t need to wait around for downloads. Just click, receive, and share.
