About FUR4

FUR4 is a US-based pet products brand and global omnichannel distributor, offering patented deShedding tools with a wider selection of products launching in 2027. The company sells through marketplaces including Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, eBay, and TikTok Shop, alongside its own online store, dealer portals, wholesale relationships, and retail programs.

About Platformz

Platformz.ai builds commerce infrastructure for brands, including integrations, portals, catalog workflows, order orchestration, and Control Tower visibility. For FUR4, it designed and built the commerce platform that connects the business, with ChannelEngine centralizing marketplace management and automating channel-specific tasks.

The challenge: More marketplaces, more moving parts

Previously, FUR4's marketplace operations were spread across different connectors and workflows. Each environment had its own setup requirements, and the team had to maintain familiarity with multiple systems.

The complexity went beyond managing product listings. Different marketplaces required different product attributes, pricing structures, inventory updates, and order processes. Connecting those channels to FUR4's wider commerce systems added another layer of work. Dealer orders, retail programs, and international sales brought their own catalog, tax, and fulfillment requirements on top.

Platformz, which designs and integrates FUR4’s commerce infrastructure, faced the same problem from the technical side. A custom API connection for every new marketplace meant more development and more maintenance.

FUR4 needed one consistent way to run its channels. Platformz needed a foundation that could take on new channels without rebuilding connections each time.

"For a growing brand, the cost of expansion includes the work behind every listing and every order. We needed growth that didn’t multiply that work."

- Timothy Roberts, COO/CTO at FUR4; CEO/CTO at Platformz.ai

The solution: One platform for every sales channel

That need for a more consistent approach led FUR4 to ChannelEngine.

ChannelEngine gives FUR4 one place to manage marketplace listings, automate updates, and control pricing and inventory by channel. Its existing integrations provide a repeatable foundation for expansion. Platformz connects that marketplace activity to FUR4’s wider systems: Salsify for product information, NetSuite for ERP and finance, and ShipBob and other providers for fulfillment.

Here’s what the setup covers:

1. Product data that adapts to every channel

Each marketplace has its own categories, attributes, and listing formats. ChannelEngine’s mapping tools adapt FUR4’s product information to each one, with rules that transform attributes, add fallback values, and tailor content by channel. This keeps FUR4’s brand presentation consistent across formats.

Where marketplaces provide validation feedback, the team sees missing attributes and rejected products early, so it can focus on what’s blocking publication.

2. One place to manage content, pricing, and inventory

FUR4 no longer updates the same information in separate seller portals. Changes go out to every connected marketplace from one place, and product selections, pricing rules, and stock buffers let the team tailor the assortment and offer for each channel, account for channel economics, and limit the risk of overselling.

The result is less repetitive catalog work and full control over how FUR4’s products appear on each marketplace.

3. Orders that reach finance and fulfillment

A marketplace sale doesn’t end at checkout. Orders need processing, invoicing, and shipping. Platformz connects ChannelEngine to FUR4’s wider commerce environment so each step happens in the right system.

Amazon shows how this works. In spring 2026, Amazon orders flowed through ChannelEngine into Magento and triggered invoice creation in accounting through the Platformz integration. ShipBob and other providers fulfill orders, including from three centers in the US and two in Canada. Once an order ships, status and tracking details return to the marketplace.

4. Visibility across the operation

Platformz’s Control Tower gives the team visibility into activity and exceptions across the operation, so issues surface early, and orders keep moving.

"Every marketplace has its own requirements. ChannelEngine gives our team a consistent way to handle them, and Platformz connects those channels to the rest of FUR4’s operations."

- Timothy Roberts, COO/CTO at FUR4; CEO/CTO at Platformz.ai

Results: Easier management, faster expansion

FUR4’s team finds ChannelEngine more intuitive than the marketplace platforms it used before, which matters when a small team runs multiple channels alongside the rest of the business.

The progress is visible channel by channel:

  • Amazon: Live through ChannelEngine by spring 2026, with orders flowing into FUR4’s commerce and accounting systems.
  • Walmart: By May, the team had confirmed Walmart was also operating through ChannelEngine alongside Amazon.
  • TikTok Shop: In October, FUR4 brought its existing TikTok Shop catalog into the same environment. It was an existing catalog rather than a new launch, but it shows another channel joining an established workflow.

“We want to grow FUR4 across more products, marketplaces, and countries, and make that expansion routine, not a new technical project every time we enter a marketplace or launch a product. ChannelEngine and Platformz.ai together give us a foundation we can keep building on.”

- Timothy Roberts, COO/CTO at FUR4; CEO/CTO at Platformz.ai
