Missed us but would love to talk more?

ChannelEngine joined our partner SAP at SAP Connect 2026 in Las Vegas. Here’s what stood out from the event, including the latest commerce announcements, our joint session with Nestlé and the SAP order management product team, and how we’re helping SAP customers connect to more sales channels.

On stage with Nestlé: scaling ecommerce across channels

A highlight was “How Nestlé scales marketplace, social commerce, and D2C operations.” ChannelEngine Founder and CEO Jorrit Steinz joined our joint customer Nestlé’s Jan Vedelaar and SAP’s Sung Cho and Ken Beaton to discuss the systems behind that growth.

For a business like Nestlé, adding channels means managing different product requirements and fulfillment processes across markets. The session explored how SAP Order Management Foundation and ChannelEngine connect those channels and simplify reconciliations with SAP S/4HANA.

Nestlé uses this architecture to bring marketplace orders into its existing SAP processes and support expansion without modifying its SAP core.

What stood out at SAP Connect

SAP’s announcements focused on connecting AI with the business data and processes needed to get work done. Three updates were especially relevant to commerce teams:

  • SAP Commerce Cloud, cloud ERP edition, became generally available. It connects digital commerce with SAP Cloud ERP data for pricing, availability, orders, and financial processes.
  • SAP expanded Order Management Services for complex ERP environments. The updates support order orchestration across SAP S/4HANA and other ERP systems, including inventory checks and fulfillment monitoring.
  • SAP announced new and enhanced Joule Assistants for customer experience. These include assistants that help customers discover products and help teams create and run marketing campaigns, using business context to guide their actions.

Joule’s relevance to marketplace ecommerce comes down to the information behind each action. A product recommendation needs accurate content and current availability. An order needs to reach the systems that can fulfill it. ChannelEngine helps maintain those connections across external sales channels, bringing marketplace orders into SAP and distributing product information, pricing, and inventory updates.

How SAP and ChannelEngine work together

SAP’s direction for Autonomous Unified Commerce brings demand, inventory, and fulfillment together across channels using AI. Our partnership supports that approach: SAP manages the underlying business processes, while ChannelEngine extends those processes across marketplaces and sales channels.

For SAP customers, ChannelEngine provides access to a network of 1,300+ global marketplaces and sales channels, including Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Target, Best Buy, Lowe's, and Zalando.

ChannelEngine helps SAP customers:

  • Process marketplace orders through SAP. Bring orders into SAP Order Management Foundation as standard orders, triggering the existing lead-to-cash process.
  • Publish product information across channels. Map and transform product content to meet each marketplace’s requirements, with AI-assisted mapping to reduce manual work.
  • Manage channel updates centrally. Distribute product content and pricing updates through ChannelEngine. We’re also extending our integration to SAP OMSA (Order Management for Sourcing and Availability) to sync stock and availability across connected sales channels.
  • Expand while keeping the SAP core clean. Use existing connectors to add sales channels without modifying the SAP S/4HANA core.

What’s next for our SAP integration

Our SAP Order Management integration is already active. We’re extending it to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability (OMSA) and expanding the integration to SAP Commerce Cloud, cloud ERP edition.

This work will bring ChannelEngine’s global sales channel network to more SAP customers and connect channel activity more closely with product availability and order processing.
