About Trust International
Trust International B.V. is a leading European consumer electronics brand with a wide product range across computer peripherals, audio, gaming, smart home, and digital lifestyle accessories.
Amazon plays a central role in Trust’s ecommerce strategy. It is one of the company’s most important online accounts and a key part of how the team builds and grows its online business across Europe.
As Trust's Amazon Vendor presence grew, so did the complexity of managing product data, listings, content quality, and vendor processes across multiple markets.
ChannelEngine's Amazon Vendor add-on gave Trust one place to manage it all, covering three critical areas of Amazon Vendor Central operations: dispute management, maintaining catalog quality, and market expansion. This gave the team the operational foundation they needed to expand more efficiently.
The challenge: Being live was only the first step
When Ewa Kulesza joined Trust five years ago, the team managed six Amazon markets manually. Product listings were manageable, but time was a constant challenge. The team often had to prioritize the most important markets first, leaving limited room for content optimization, A/B testing, and other content-related projects.
As Trust continued to expand, that workload became harder to sustain without compromising quality. Belgium, Poland and Sweden were activated in 2023, while Ireland was already on the roadmap as the next market to add. Some markets were easier to onboard than others. For Belgium, the team could reuse existing French content from one of its fully optimized core markets. Poland and Sweden required more setup work, as localized content still needed to be created.
Even when content was available, every additional market added new manual steps. Product data had to be collected from different internal systems, checked, formatted, and uploaded. Technical specifications, measurements, compatibility details, and content fields all had to be handled carefully, but errors could still creep in.
"Even small manual tasks, like copy-pasting data, can lead to mistakes. And once incorrect content is published, it creates extra work to resolve later."
- Ewa Kulesza, E-commerce Content Process Manager, Trust International
As the operation expanded, the team had to make trade-offs about where to spend their time. Core markets — UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy — naturally took priority. Newer markets were live, but the team had little room to refine local content, improve product pages, test performance, or build the right foundation for growth.
Products could be duplicated into new markets, which helped Trust get online faster. But each market still needed accurate product data, localized content, and strong product pages before it could become a real growth opportunity.
"Manual product data and content management became unscalable. With our team's setup, it was impossible to maintain the same level of quality across every new market."
- Ewa Kulesza, E-commerce Content Process Manager, Trust International
On the recovery side, the picture was similar. Chargebacks and shortages had to be tracked and contested manually through Vendor Central. Without an automated process, valid claims went unaddressed and recoverable revenue stayed unclaimed.
Building a repeatable vendor setup with ChannelEngine
Trust implemented ChannelEngine's Amazon Vendor add-on to centralize and automate the core of its vendor operation.
Instead of preparing product data manually for every market, Trust now connects its PIM system directly to ChannelEngine. Product fields are mapped to the vendor channel once, and that setup carries across markets. The same data structure that works for one country applies to the next. That means no rebuilding from scratch, no reformatting, and no copy-paste.
That repeatable setup matters for an operation like Trust’s. The team currently manages an active Amazon catalogue of 440 items and introduces around 100 new products each year. Without an automated way to reuse mappings and product data workflows, every new market would add another layer of manual work.
One of the most valuable parts of that setup is the flexibility to work with advanced rules and custom fields. Product data in a PIM is rarely ready for vendor channel requirements as-is. Some fields need to be transformed, some values need adjusting, and some required attributes simply don't exist in the source system at all.
Custom fields let the team create those attributes directly in ChannelEngine. Advanced rules let them transform data at the mapping level, so what gets published is always fit for the channel, without manually correcting every listing.
"Sometimes our PIM data is not fully optimized for vendor channels. With advanced rules and expressions, we can transform it to meet specific channel requirements."
- Ewa Kulesza, E-commerce Content Process Manager, Trust International
The setup also gets stronger over time. Each product listed creates a reference point for the next one. Once mappings are in place, new listings become faster to complete.
"The more items you list, the easier it becomes. For our core markets around 85% of the data is already prefilled. All that needs to be done is data validation."
- Ewa Kulesza, E-commerce Content Process Manager, Trust International
Making room for content quality and market growth
With ChannelEngine Amazon Vendor add-on in place, Trust reduced the time spent on new product listings by 50%, freeing up to 8 hours a week for more strategic work.
For Trust, this is more than a time saving. It is the difference between keeping up with operations and actually driving market performance.
The team can now spend more time on the work that improves performance:
- A/B testing product content
- improving A+ Premium content
- Reviewing and updating image strategy
- Optimizing Amazon Brand Stores
- Refining localized content in expansion markets
- Preparing product pages before activating paid traffic
This matters because expansion markets have been live, but not fully ready to perform. Product listings were duplicated automatically from existing markets. That helped Trust get products online, but the content still needed work. Automatically translated titles were not always correct. Descriptions could be inconsistent. Images were duplicated without localization. The listings were good enough to go live, but not yet strong enough to support meaningful growth.
"We now have the resources to invest more in content quality across emerging markets, close the gap, and put ourselves in a stronger position to outperform."
- Stijn Bleijs, E-commerce Director, Trust International
With the content foundation now in place, Trust is ready to allocate more resources and attention to those markets, a commercial commitment that became viable once the manual workload was reduced.
"It all starts with setting up the listings and having the quality on par before you can start with other activities, such as promotions or advertising strategies. Strategically speaking, it is a waste to do it any other way around."
- Stijn Bleijs, E-commerce Director, Trust International
Protecting profitability with better vendor dispute management
For Amazon Vendors, profitability is not only about selling more. It is also about protecting the revenue already earned.
Shortages, chargebacks, and pricing discrepancies can add up over time. If they are not identified, tracked, and disputed in a structured way, valid recovery opportunities stay unclaimed.
Before using ChannelEngine, Trust handled dispute management through Vendor Central, manually identifying, tracking, and reporting on claims. It was time-intensive and difficult to maintain across markets.
With ChannelEngine's Recovery Management solution, the team can identify eligible invoices faster, track disputed amounts more easily, and use extracted reports to support internal follow-up and finance reporting.
This helped Trust:
- Improve its dispute success rate while reducing manual effort
- Save up to 4 hours a week on recovery management
- Identify and recover historical vendor claims
That last point was especially significant. Most vendor teams focus on open claims within the current financial year. Trust discovered they could go further and recover chargebacks and shortages from previous years, value that had simply never been claimed.
"Through ChannelEngine, our team can now easily identify which invoices are eligible for dispute at a glance. The extracted reports also allow us to quickly track the total recovered amount, making internal reporting much more convenient."
- Stijn Bleijs, E-commerce Director, Trust International
With ChannelEngine, dispute management became part of a more controlled vendor operation. It gave Trust’s team better visibility into eligible claims, reducing the time spent on manual follow-up, and protecting profitability by recovering value that might otherwise be left behind.
Working with ChannelEngine
Trust uses ChannelEngine across its entire hybrid ecommerce operation, supporting both first-party vendor relationships and third-party marketplace sales. Having a single platform for both helps the team manage growth more efficiently across markets.
“Trust is an excellent partner to work with, bringing a strong understanding of their marketplace operations and strategic priorities. They consistently provide clear, practical feedback, which helps us refine the setup collaboratively and ensure that our platform truly supports the way their team operates across markets, content workflows, and dispute management.”
- Lucas Kuijken, Key Account Manager, ChannelEngine
As Trust added new markets to its vendor setup, each onboarding went smoothly. When issues came up, especially during the early stages, both teams worked closely to resolve them quickly.
For Stijn, what stands out is consistency. Across markets, across use cases, and across the different stages of Trust's vendor growth, the partnership has delivered.
"ChannelEngine really helps us scale the business. Their responsiveness and expertise make a real difference in improving our operational processes as we continue to grow.”
- Stijn Bleijs, E-commerce Director, Trust International
What comes next
Trust now has a vendor operation with the right foundation for growth.
With product data workflows more structured and content quality improving across expansion markets, expanding to new regions has become more feasible. The team no longer has to treat each new market as a heavy manual setup. Instead, they can build on the mappings, processes, and learnings already created through ChannelEngine.
That shift is already changing how Trust approaches its expansion markets. Markets that were once deprioritized can now receive more focus, resources, and commercial attention. With product pages better prepared, Trust is allocating dedicated support and advertising budget to help those markets grow further.
The same foundation also makes future expansion easier to consider. As Amazon remains one of Trust’s most important vendor channels, the operational model built with ChannelEngine's Amazon Vendor add-on is helping the team think beyond today’s markets and plan the next stages of vendor growth with more confidence.
The ambition is clear: expand efficiently, maintain content quality, and build every market on a setup that can support long-term growth.
