Today, most people begin their product searches directly on marketplaces - and not on search engines. Even those who search on Google will often find well-known marketplaces, or they will find retailers that are turning into marketplaces themselves. Examples of this trend in the US include Walmart, Macy’s, Sears, Target; and in Europe, Media Markt and Decathlon.

We’re obsessed with ecommerce, and we’re constantly looking at new buyer trends and emerging technologies, so we can update our platform with the most advanced capabilities for retailers and brands.
In recent years, retailers and online ecommerce players have started reducing their inventory risk by buying fewer products from brands. Instead, they are opening marketplace or drop shipment capabilities, allowing them to offer a broad range of products without purchasing them in advance from brands.
Another exciting new trend is that social media and comparison sites are becoming transactional marketplaces. For instance, TikTok Shop is already growing rapidly in Southeast Asia and starting to gain popularity in the UK. We’re proud to be at the forefront of this emerging trend.
Brands worldwide are experiencing a shift. They’re pivoting away from being pure B2B vendors (who receive purchase orders and ship products in bulk) to becoming sellers on marketplaces and shipping directly to the end consumer.
We see this as a massive opportunity for brands to build a more resilient distribution strategy, while making stronger margins, so we’ve developed a full range of tools and partnerships to help them succeed.
